The Education Audit Appeals Panel (EAAP) was established in 2002 to serve as a neutral arbiter in both informal and formal administrative appeals by K-12 local education agencies. In addition, to hearing appeals, EAAP is responsible for adopting the annual audit guide used by auditors in reviewing K-12 education agency compliance in accordance with statutory timetable. EAAP plays a critical role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and fairness in California's education audit process.
