Our client, a large financial institution in NYC is looking for a Social Media Content Writer with a strong background in financial services for a temp-to-perm role. This role is ideal for a writer who thrives in the B2B space and has a deep understanding of LinkedIn as a content platform. The ideal candidate will bring 4–5 years of professional writing experience and a portfolio that demonstrates a strong grasp of long-form social media storytelling, particularly for financial brands. This position will focus on creating engaging, authoritative, and thoughtful content tailored for LinkedIn, including long-form posts, thought leadership articles, and video scripts. You will collaborate closely with strategists, creative teams, and clients to produce compelling narratives that elevate brand presence and drive engagement.
Responsibilities:- Write high-quality, long-form content for LinkedIn that aligns with the voice, tone, and goals of financial clients
- Develop compelling video scripts optimized for LinkedIn audiences, working closely with creative and production teams
- Collaborate with strategists and account managers to translate client objectives into effective social content
- Research complex financial topics and translate them into accessible, audience-friendly messaging
- Maintain awareness of LinkedIn trends and best practices to ensure content is timely and effective
- Tailor messaging to suit a range of financial sub-industries (e.g., wealth management, fintech, banking, investment)
- Edit and revise content based on feedback while maintaining consistency in voice and accuracy
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines while meeting quality standards and deadlines
Qualifications:- 4–5 years of professional writing experience, with a strong focus on social media content
- Proven track record of writing for financial clients or within the financial services industry
- Deep familiarity with LinkedIn content formats and best practices
- Strong portfolio of long-form social content and/or video scripts, especially for B2B and finance-related clients
- Excellent research skills and the ability to distill complex topics into clear, engaging narratives
- Detail-oriented with strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to manage feedback from multiple stakeholders and revise content accordingly
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
