Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: To assist the Payroll Manager with payroll processing and providing customer service to employees.

This is not a supervisory role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Punctual and dependable attendance. 
  • Answer incoming calls directed to payroll.
  • Research and request manual checks.
  • Process Payroll Advances.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports as requested - verbal or written.
  • Check timesheets for accuracy and track missing approved timesheets for payroll processing.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll as a back-up for Payroll Manager.
  • Submit and track garnishments, child support orders and levies.
  • Complete verifications of employment.
  • Various administrative duties such as copying, filing, etc.
  • Payroll reports as requested by Payroll Manager.
  • Responsible for entering new hires and uploading the onboarding documents for Payroll in Paycom.
  • Review web-based timekeeping and update or make corrections as needed.
  • Enter monthly premium transactions into Great Plains accounting software.
  • Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management, including assisting with daily sales audit and reporting.
  • Assist in other areas of the finance and accounting department on an as-needed basis.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Prior Payroll experience, required Paycom software experience, preferred.  
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and Car Insurance Verification, required.
  • Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record.
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Reliable transportation and communication, required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a climate controlled, office environment most of the time.
