Nanny / Family Assistant / Household Manager
Stamford, CT | Live-Out | Full-Time Start Date: ASAP
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- O ccasional date nights or weekend hours
A warm and welcoming Stamford family is seeking a dedicated, experienced Nanny / Family Assistant / Household Manager for a long-term, evolving role. This position is ideal for a professional nanny who enjoys growing with a family and balancing childcare with light household and organizational support.
About the Family & Children
The family has three boys , ages:
- 5 years old (full-day kindergarten)
- 3 years old (half-day preschool)
- 5 months old (home full-time)
The children are loving, energetic, and close in age. The older boys are best friends who enjoy physical play and benefit from a calm, patient caregiver who can proactively redirect before conflicts escalate.
Mom works part-time, including time working from home, so the nanny must be comfortable working alongside parents and skillfully redirecting children when needed.
The family is seeking someone long-term who is open to a role that evolves as the children grow and household needs change.
Responsibilities
Childcare (Primary Focus)
- Loving, attentive care for an infant, toddler, and school-aged child
- Supporting developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities
- Managing routines, transitions, and sibling dynamics
- Calm and proactive redirection during physical play or conflict
Household Support (Child-Focused & Light Family Support)
- Children’s meal prep and light cooking
- Family meals and light family cooking when time allows
- Children’s laundry and tidying bedrooms and play areas
- Organizational projects (closets, pantry, toys, etc.)
- Family errands (car provided)
- Light housekeeping
As the baby enters preschool age, the role will naturally include more household management responsibilities, such as adult laundry, meal prep, and organization.
Cooking & Dietary Needs
The family keeps a kosher home.
- Experience with dietary restrictions is a plus
- The family is happy to train the nanny on kosher kitchen rules and cooking needs
Special Needs Experience
One child receives speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
- Prior special needs experience is welcomed
- The family is open to training the right candidate who is patient, calm, and eager to learn
Position Requirements
- Experience with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach to childcare
- Comfortable working in a home with parents present
- Strong organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license (car provided)
- Willingness to grow into a household management role
Compensation & Benefits Offered
$30–$36 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications
