Summary

Peachtree Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for mathematics and a proven ability to engage students in critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for learning.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach math courses for grades 6?8, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and possibly Geometry
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
• Use a variety of assessments to evaluate student progress and inform instruction
• Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues
• Participate actively in the school community, including attending staff meetings and school events

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master?s degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification
• Teaching experience in middle school

We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools / Advanc-ED and we strive to challenge our students each and every day. Students utilize a state-of-the-art computer lab and library for learning enhancement. Our students compete in a variety of academic events including Math Olympics, Creative Writing, Spelling Bees, Speech Meets, Science Fairs, and over 17 different sports teams. The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
