Email Marketing Manager - Consultant - Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for an Email Marketing Manager position to join a highly successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. This position will be part of the firm’s North America marketing team and support initiatives that boost awareness, consideration, and purchase among direct retail investors, while partnering with channel, content, distribution, and strategy teams on high-visibility projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in email marketing and multi-channel marketing campaigns, preferable in the financial services industry.
This is a 12-month contract that will pay $45-50/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 3-4 days per week in their Boston office.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the Direct Retail Channel Marketing Manager to develop and execute targeting and segmentation strategies for retail investors.
Design and implement lead-generation campaigns and email nurture programs to expand the direct retail investor database.
Leverage data insights to inform decisions, track performance, and optimize direct marketing initiatives.
Create personalized email content tailored to audience behavior and demographics.
Collaborate across teams—including Sales, Marketing, Product, Design, Compliance, and CRM—to deliver integrated campaigns and ensure effective reporting.
Drive awareness and influence investment decisions by enhancing consideration of the firm's SPDR ETFs through innovative direct marketing strategies.
Manage the email marketing calendar to ensure accurate and timely campaign delivery.
Monitor and report campaign performance using key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
5–7 years of experience in email marketing, with proven success in strategy, lead generation, and multi-channel campaign execution (B2C and/or Financial Services preferred).
Proficiency with Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting and troubleshooting.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented.
