What You’ll Own?

Role

We’re seeking Founder(s) in Residence —a former founder, executive (ex-CTO/CMO), or elite operator—to own a critical business vertical (product, growth, or AI/ML) and potentially evolve into a co-founder role. This is for builders who will:

  • Drive 0→1 Initiatives: Lead AI model refinement and engineering, enterprise sales, or creator monetization.
  • Lead like an owner: Turn strategy into action—hiring, experiments, and scaling what works.
  • See "impossible" as a starting point and deliver 10x solutions with 20% effort.
  • Ship fast, learn faster, and obsess over customer pain points.

Experience

Are a Champion Team Player

  • You’ve built or scaled teams/startups (failures are battle scars we celebrate).
  • You give/receive feedback with radical candor ("kind and clear, not nice and vague").

Prioritize Ruthlessly

  • You cut through noise—focusing on the 20% that drives 80% of impact.
  • You break big bets into tiny wins (P0 first, polish later).

Ship Fast, Quality Follows

  • You’ve launched scrappy MVPs in days, not months (speed >> perfection).
  • You balance urgency with craftsmanship (Tesla FSD mindset: launch, iterate, dominate).

  • You dig into behavioral data and gut instincts to build what users actually need.
  • You’d rather solve one problem deeply than chase 10 shiny features.

Qualifications

  • Cofounder / CEO / CTO / CMO, Leader of Product, Design, Growth / Marketing or Engineering / Founding Engineer of dead-or-alive tech startups
  • Previous startup or venture-backed experience
  • Previous founding engineer experience with strong technical background
  • Prior experience raising capital or leading teams
  • Network of potential early hires or advisors

Pay Transparency: Here at Opus Clip, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Salary Range: In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Law, the salary for this role in San Francisco is 76,243-999,999. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package.
