Firewatch Position - Sand Island **About the Role** We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious **Firewatch** to join our team on Sand Island. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring for potential fire hazards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and supporting operations as needed. **Responsibilities** + Monitor work areas for sparks, flames, or other fire hazards during hot work activities. + Maintain constant vigilance to ensure safety standards are upheld. + Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding safety concerns. + Operate fire suppression equipment if necessary. + Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines. **Qualifications** + Previous firewatch or safety-related experience preferred (training provided if needed). + Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods. + Strong communication skills and attention to detail. + Must be dependable and punctual. + Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. **Benefits** + Competitive hourly pay ($20-$24 depending on experience). + Consistent weekday schedule with weekends off. + Opportunity to work in a supportive team environment. **Pay Range:** $20 - $24 per hour **Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM **Location:** Sand Island **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
