TekCom Resources is seeking a
a Fiber Splicer for a direct hire role with a fast-growing fiber construction firm!
In this role, you will be splicing fiber optic cables aerially and underground. This is a direct hire role in the Hastings MN area.
Job Responsibilities: • As part of a team, prepare, splice and troubleshoot fiber optic cable
• Install, repair and maintain fiber optic splice closures and distribution panels
• Ability to work in Underground manhole systems, aerial plant and customer premise
• Experienced with fiber optic fusion machines i.e. Fujikura, Sumitomo, Fitel, etc. for splicing
• Work in conjunction with field engineering to update records
• Coordinate service delivery with multiple departments
• On-Call for service outages
Job Knowledge: • 1-3 years of fiber splicing experience
• Must have experience working in and driving a splicing trailer
• Generate and understand OTDR and Power Meter test results
• Must have excellent communication and time management skills
• Work well with other members of the team
• Good problem solving techniques
