Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.)What you bring to the table:Related Experience/Requirements: (3) years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic or a combination of both; or (1) years of verifiable hands-on experience with either Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification or both.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must furnish own personal hand toolsAbility to comply with EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleetAbility to read and understand technical and service manualsSuccessfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skillsAbility to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionYour efforts as a Fleet Mechanic are the foundation that defines US FOODS(r) success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.BECOME A US FOODS(r) TEAM MEMBER! Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $21.00 and $26.00 per hour. As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation as appropriate.
