Comfort Inn of Shelby is hiring Part-Time Breakfast Attendants to join our team. Many of our Front Desk and Guest Services staff began their careers in the food and beverage department, and our goal is for everyone who works at Comfort Inn Shelby to be with us for the long haul. Our Breakfast Attendants keep the breakfast area running smoothly and guarantee that our customers have a great start to their day. Responsibilities include setting up and clearing food service stations, ensuring items remain fully stocked, and cleaning after breakfast service. Our ideal candidate is a people-person, able to connect with our guests and maintain the exceptional communication and customer service Comfort Inn Shelby is known for.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Setup, maintain, and clean breakfast buffet area
• Ensure all food and beverage items are stocked and displayed attractively
• Welcome guests in a friendly, helpful manner and provide information about breakfast options
• Replenish coffee,  tea , and other  beverages   to guests at all time
• Monitor food and beverage inventory levels and report any shortages or quality issues to supervisor
• Remove dirty plates and trash from tables and overall breakfast area
• Keep breakfast area clean and organized throughout breakfast hours
• Assist in breakfast preparation and cooking as needed
• Follow food safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Restock, organize, and clean breakfast area after breakfast service
  

Successful Candidates Must Have :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• NC Food Handler’s certification or ability to obtain immediately
• Previous restaurant service experience is preferred
• Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
• Ability to pleasantly and professionally communicate when interacting with guests and employees
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to work early morning shifts
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays
